I always think of the song Don't Stop Believing by Journey when I look at this picture. I'm not sure why, maybe it's because we should took a bus and didn't know where we were headed. "She took the midnight training going anywhere..."
People often ask me how I am able to get decent pictures with "kit lenses". I usually answer them that Olympus kit lenses are among the best lenses, period. Beside, it's not really about the lens, it's about what you do with it and how well you edit (the last point being a important topic to be covered later.)
Apart being slower (never seen one faster than f/3.5 at the wide end), kit lenses usually do a decent job for most of the times. Just changing the lens brings no miracles :)
